JOHN WISBEY

Chairman of the Board
 

John Wisbey joined 5D Solar City as Chairman in 2018. He is also Chairman and CEO of International Lithium Corp.(TSXV:ILC) and of CONVENDIA Ltd. He has had a career as a technology entrepreneur and ex-banker. He founded two London AIM listed companies: IDOX plc, which provides software for UK Local Government, and Lombard Risk Management plc, which specialises in software for bank risk management and regulation. He more recently established CONVENDIA Ltd., a private company which specializes in software for cash flow forecasting, project valuation and M&A financial analysis. He was formerly a banker at Kleinwort Benson, where he held various roles, including a Director in the Derivatives Group, Head of Options, and corporate lending. John has acted as a public company Chairman, CEO or Director for eighteen years. He is a graduate of Cambridge University.

John believes that there is a fantastic opportunity for Africa to leapfrog more traditional power technologies, and that 5D Solar City AG can play a major part in accelerating the Continent’s development on a green basis.

SVETLANA LUTAY

Cief Executive Officer 

Svetlana Lutay joined 5D Solar City as CEO in 2018. As well as solar energy, she has a career in Asset Management and property management, and is also CEO and founder of UK based Gryphon Asset Management Ltd. Over the past 10 years Svetlana has developed Gryphon’s asset management and real estate investment business in the UK. She is a specialist in running property development portfolios in smart city environments.

Svetlana is a principal shareholder and Director of the Solar Smart City Zanzibar Ltd – a consortium of companies from 11 countries established in December 2021. Solar Smart City Zanzibar is the first in the world project of Solar Smart City to be implemented in Zanzibar. She is member of the Board of Directors and responsible for Finance and Development.  

Svetlana is also a co-founder and director of 5D Gryphon Technologies Ltd, a London based start-up in Blockchain Technology in the property and land title sector.

Svetlana graduated from Minsk University in Microbiology and Biochemistry and has a second degree from Moscow Academy in Economics and Risk Management. In 2021 she received “Waste to Energy” Diploma by Earth Engineering Centre, Columbian University.

Svetlana is keen to add education and green finance and a modern approach to ecology to the company’s mission.

ALEXANDER BARABANOV

Founder, Director on Africa

Alexander is a founder of 5D Solar City AG. He worked on the project for several years and developed a 5D Solar Concept Ltd as a symbiosis of Solar Energy, Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technologies with the aim to develop an Energy Integrated Digital Platform for modular design of Solar Smart Cities projects. The company philosophy is based on the principles of sustainability and Green Finance.

He started to work on Solar Energy in Africa in 2010 and on Solar Smart City Project in 2016 as a model project for implementation in countries of Sub-Sahara Africa. In 2021 he founded Consortium for Solar Smart City Zanzibar and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe).

Alexander graduated from Moscow High Technical School and has MSc in Flexible Machining Systems (CAD/CAM) specialised in Robotics and Bionics. He has Diploma in Patent Law and Intellectual Property Law. He continued his education at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London to expand his knowledge on geopolitics and economy of developing countries in Asia and Africa.

He is a passionate collector of Photography and antique African art.
